Lane Closures Announced For Stretch Of Taconic State Parkway In Westchester
State officials announced that single- and double-lane closures are planned for a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County. The New York State Department of Transportation said the lane closures will be between Exit 11 (State Route 134) and Exit 13 (Underhill Avenue) in Yorktown. Officials say the closures are set for 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays beginning Tuesday, July 12, through Saturday, Oct. 29. Officials issued an alert to Westchester County motorists about a planned parkway ramp closure to facilitate guide rail repairs. The New York State Department of Transportation has advised motorists to expect lane closures on the Cross County Parkway in Westchester. Road Closed After Truck Overturns In Westchester
A busy Westchester roadway was forced to close after a tractor-trailer overturned and spilled debris in the roadway. On Monday, Oct. 18, first responders from the Yonkers Police and Fire departments responded to a stretch of Yonkers Avenue, where a truck overturned when the driver failed to negotiate a turn. The overturned truck led to the closure of Yonkers Avenue between the Saw Mill River Parkway and Midland Avenue as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Multi-Vehicle I-95 Crash Snarls Traffic
Traffic on a stretch of I-95 is at a standstill after a serious multi-vehicle crash near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties. The crash, involving at least four vehicles, happened late Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18 on the southbound side in Greenwich. Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs
Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. The department said motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 55 and Route 82.
