Raymond Sanchez will serve as the next superintendent of the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, district officials announced on Wednesday, May 17.  Sanchez's appointment will be officially finalized during a Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, May 30. Statistics reflect a growing base of Hispanic students (from 31 percent of the student population in 2005-06 to 46 percent in 2015-16) as the number of white (not Hispanic) students has decreased (41 percent to 27 percent), Principal Reggie Richardson said in a recent presentation to Board of Education.
