New Rochelle Students Begin Preparing For College Early

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Seniors in high schools throughout New Rochelle who applied for early action or early decision have learned that they've been accepted into a wide-range of colleges, but their preparation for college may have started earlier than expected, according to a report. in The Huffington Post, written by New Rochelle Schools Superintendent Brian Osborne.

The college admissions journey began in elementary school and middle school for some students because of opportunities such as college readiness programs offered by the district, Osborne said in the report.

Young students have the opportunity to visit schools through a year-long college visit program, the report said.
