New Rochelle School Board Awards Tenure To 35

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- At a ceremony at last Tuesday's City School District of New Rochelle Board of Education meeting, 35 faculty and administrators were awarded tenure.

Reggie Richardson and John Barnes (left and right) were two of the 35 granted tenure last Tuesday. They are the principals of New Rochelle High School and Albert Leonard Middle School.

The supervisors of the candidates spoke highly of each: One teacher brings a sense of community into her classroom, another creates an aura of kindness, another brings his artistic soul to math, one principal is a community leader, and another is noted for his student outcomes.
