NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- During the recent third budget/bond review session held by the New Rochelle City School District Board of Education, there was an overview of the 2016-17 school district budget (particularly curriculum and instruction, special education and pupil services) and four capital bond options under consideration by the board.
Included was detailed information about the financial implications for each option to address upcoming building repairs district-wide.
The board and session attendees heard key budget and bond information from several administrators and presenters including Schools Superintendent Brian Osborne, Associate Superintendent Diane Massimo, Director of Pupil Services Rhonda Jones and Director of Special and Alternative Education Yvette Goorevitch.
Also presenting was New Rochelle High School Principal Reggie Richardson, Albert Leonard Middle School Principal John Barnes, Isaac E. Young Middle School Principal Dr. Anthony Bongo, Director of Athletics Steve Young, District Coordinator of Guidance and Counseling Michael Kenny, District Safety Administrator Ellen Garcia and New Rochelle City Manager Chuck Strome, who is co-chair of the Districtwide Health and Safety Committee with Webster Elementary Principal Melissa Passarelli.
