Center For College & Careers Event Benefits New Rochelle Youths

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The advisory board for the Center for College & Careers will hold its inaugural Back to School Night Bash at Beckwith Pointe Beach Club in New Rochelle on Wednesday, April 13.

"The money we raise will help provide for integral components of the program like tutoring, college tours and work-readiness seminars," said co-chair Carolyn Champ. "Many of the students who take part in the CCC are the first in their families to consider college an option. The CCC provides additional guidance to keep them focused on their goals."

The bash will feature entertainment by DJ Mike Guiliano, an open bar, carving stations, passed hors d'oeuvres and dessert.

Attendees are encouraged to dress to represent their favorite high school or college.

The CCC works with youths from New Rochelle and Mount Vernon.

Tickets are $55 per person in advance or $75 at the door.
