Vehicular Assault, DWI Charges For Man After New Rochelle Crash

The driver of a silver sedan driving drunk has been charged with vehicular assault after crashing into a taxi cab in Westchester on Thanksgiving morning, seriously injuring a woman, according to a News 12 report.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Echo Avenue and Main Street in a New Rochelle.

The injured woman was ejected from the taxi and suffered a series of fractures,  but is expected to survive, according to lohud.com. The taxi driver suffered from minor injuries and was also hospitalized.

The man charged has been identified as Joseph Vessechia of Yorktown Heights, according to News 12. He also suffered minor injuries.
