79-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed Outside New Rochelle Deli

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 79-year-old man shot in the chest near a deli in New Rochelle Saturday night has died, according to authorities.

The unidentified man, who was sitting on a crate, was shot around 11:15 p.m. as three younger men stood outside the Union Avenue deli, according to ABC 7.

The suspect is a reportedly a black man who was last seen by witness fleeing south on Third Street, News 12 reported.

The man was conscious when he was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, News 12 said.
