NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Marianne Jasiak, a resident of New Rochelle for over 40 years, died Friday, Feb. 19, at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital. She was 78.
She was a co-owner of Heidi's Deli in New Rochelle for many years. In addition to spending time with friends and family, she was an avid crafter and accomplished crocheter. She loved tending to her flowers and garden.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gunter; her sister, Marlene; brother-in-law Georg Goebel of Bendorf, Germany; and their children and families.
She was a supporter of The Wounded Warrior Project, and her family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the charity. A private ceremony will be held by the family.
