Michael Chirico of Yonkers, owner and founder of the mixed martial arts club and fitness center, started the drive with his coworker Kru Primo Bellarosa in order to give back to the community.

"We got people to donate in a couple of ways. If they were new members,  we offered to give them $200 off their membership if they donated a toy," Chirico said.

For current members, he explained, if an instructor thought they brought the coolest gift, they won free private lessons.

So far, they have accumulated at least 30 gifts, including remote control cars, action figures, etc. - and there's plenty more coming.

Chirico is looking for an organization that helps low income children.

"I wanted to do the drive specifically for low income kids, so we can help out their parents," he said.

Though a few organizations have volunteered, Chirico says he would prefer an organization based in New Rochelle or Pelham.
