Amazon Truck Slams Into Overpass In Westchester

A tractor-trailer slammed into an overpass overnight, backing up traffic for hours on the Bronx River Parkway in Westchester.

The tractor-trailer, driving illegally on the parkway, crashed around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the southbound side just north of the Cross County Parkway near the Yonkers-Mount Vernon border, Westchester County Police said.

The top of the truck, which was carrying packages for Amazon, was sheared off and packages and debris littered the roadway, shutting down two of three lanes.

No injuries were reported.
