The $500 and $250 grants will be awarded for those ideas that best represent the Future Five initiative's goals for the revitalization of the city's downtown.

The group aims to beautify the downtown's public space and storefronts, develop local business, create a vibrant food and dining scene, engage the millennial generation and promote culture and the arts.

A past list of grant winners and their ideas can be viewed here.

The Future Five Meetup is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on May 3 at the NR Future Office, 247 North Ave., New Rochelle. Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP. One person who RSVPs and attends will be selected at random to win a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
