For friends, family and those looking to stroll in support of local children's care, the 2018 Go The Distance Walk offers the opportunity to support the work done by Maria Fareri Children's Hospital and the lives it has changed. Held on Sept. 16, rain or shine, at WMC's Valhalla campus, participants can sign up here.

Rather get down and dirty? WMC's Trauma Mud Run pushes challengers to their limits over 5K of obstacles, tire swings, cargo nets and of course -- mud. The race raises funds for Westchester Medical Center’s Joel A. Halpern Regional Trauma Center and Burn Center, the region's only Level I trauma and burn care service. The Mud Run will be held on Sept. 22 and participants can sign up here.

Finally, as the fall foliage hits its peak, find your stride at the 2018 Healing Half Marathon and 10K. Traversing the historic Bronx River Parkway, racers will experience the rolling hills of Northern Westchester give way to the southern inclines that make the course one of the area's premier closed course races. The race will be held on Oct. 14 and participants will have the option to race 13.1 or 6.2 miles. Participants can sign up here.
