App Gives New Rochelle Commuters Train, Taxi, Food Information

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Commuters using the Metro North train station in New Rochelle may want to download an app to access easily navigable information about trains, schedules and services nearby.

Alvin & Friends provides a train schedule, and information on taxis and restaurants in each of the towns along the Metro North lines of Harlem, Hudson and New Haven. Users can also buy tickets using the app.

Its creators wanted to provide answer to questions conductors often get from train riders: "How do I find a taxi? "Where's a good place for a quick bite" "What's the next train to wherever?, according to a release.
