Long-Range Forecasts Predict Cold, Snowy Winter In New Rochelle

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two long-range weather forecasts predict a cold, snowy winter for Westchester County residents.

Kasims Weather Watcher and the Old Farmers’ Almanac made the dire predictions. “A cold and snowy (brutal) severe season is more than likely for the Northeast and MidEast Coast yet again,’ according to the Kasims Weather Watcher report.

The Old Farmers' Almanac predicted a  super cold winter with snow for much of the country, even for some regions of the country that don’t usually see much of it, according to a story on Fox News.

The Kasims story said "Things are looking very interesting this year, an intriguing combo of low solar activity and a very strong El Niño could develop an unforgiving Northeastern snow set up for the U.S."
