I just want to say that I am not an owner of guns nor do I condone the thousands a year of unnecessary killings / deaths that take place in our country by many lunatics. This poll is nonsensical. Why would names of innocent people be made public? They are not criminals for owning the guns! It's not relevant at all! People should just turn in their guns and call it a day! What People need to do now is take extreme caution housing their guns. Guns should be kept away in a secure, safe and out of reach place for any member of the household. Harsher policies need to be put in place ! It should no longer be as easy as showing a valid ID! A full psychological evaluation should be required, an extensive background check should be done- involving any criminal activity involving guns in the past etc. People lets do better-it's getting very insensitive that a madman can kill innocent 5, 6, 7 year olds!! We have had enough! View Comment
People, please listen to the responses given by each presidential candidate! I feel we are losing sight here of the real issues! It's not about who looks presidential or not. It's about the facts!!! Listen to every word that both men are saying!! When Romney says we need jobs, he will cut taxes, he will cut the Obama care etc. Romney doesn't say how he is going to do it!!! He doesn't give specifics!!! Do you know what you are getting as the commander in chief? NO. Don't vote for someone who is impressive. Vote for someone who has made significant changes in this nation, someone who cares for all people, who understands people from all walks of life. Someone who understands the low income population. There's no way that living in this free world, we can expect President Obama can get this nation to where we want it to be in just 4 years!! Are we being realistic?? We let President Bush ram this nation in the ground for 2 terms! We can't even give President Obama the opportunity to finish what he started?? Obama understands that without each and everyone lending a hand to those in need, this country will not advance!! We will be in the trenches and this nation will pay a high price !!!! Low income families will suffer greatly and everyone of us will be affected even if we dontt think so. The only way to build our nation is to provide the low income with a leg up with scholarships to advance them in education, by paying a little more in our taxes so that they could receive healthcare. An educated nation and a health nation of its people is a productive nation. America please open your eyes and listen up!! Don't be swayed by non- existent promises!! Vote smart!! Vote Obama!!!! The vote is Barack Obama all the way. Not because he is a black man, but because he is the man that understands us nationally and globally. Yes, we are all dishing out A LOT in healthcare bills, but we are also giving to those that can't afford. Which is the American way! We are a nation of picking up those that are struggling which makes us a nation that cares for it's people!!! I support Obama!! There's no way that he could have accomplished everything that he st out to do in only 4 years. I also understand that we are a nation of instant gratification and that we need results oimmediately, however, this is not the time for us as a nation to make our country unstable with everything that has happened: 9/11, the failed economy, and unemployment, are not a 4 year term governing of a nation of the free world! The man is brilliant, calm thoughtful, and focused on the goal to make America stable. Let's give him the opportunity to get America straight. View Comment
I appreciate the information, but the bad news is that you have a picture of another school all together! I thought the story is about Dobbs Ferry Middle School/ High School and not Ardsley? View Comment
I am saddened by the untimely death of this young and promising student. I am wishing her family peace and strength during this time of pain and sorrow. May this beautiful angel rest in peace. View Comment
