Hurray for our officials--what a wonderful way to think outside the box. I think it is a wonderful idea of our village. I showed this article to both my kids and they were both very excited. Thanks for making Briarcliff such a family-friendly place to live. View Comment
The whole situation is ridiculous and personally I think that Briarcliff's call to Con Ed's response to the effect of Sandy is a day late and dollar short. My family (which include 2 small children) has not had electricity or heat, which I might add was especially nice during yesterday's nor'easter. Nothing like a family of 4 sleeping together with 6 blankets to keep them warm. To add insult to injury, we have not even see a crew from Con Ed (or any of the out-of-state crews) make an appearance on our street. Extremely disheartening. View Comment
Mauled and death are two seperate things. And don't feel bad for me b/c of the dog bite (although I feel bad for youe grandmother and aunt), the one good thing that came out of it was my healthy respect for dogs as animals and not "babies." A trait which I gladly have passed along to my children. BTW my point was that responible dog owners are just that, responsible.

What does defecation in the park have to do with taking your dog to work? There has always been a problem with irresponsible dog owners, not dogs. Last year there were 15 fatal attacks by dogs in this country, hardly the "many" deaths you claim. As a dog bite survivor (83 stitches on my face and head), I bear no ill will to the dogs. They are animals. Are you more upset about the poop or the alleged many deaths? View Comment
