Greenwich Police Nab Violent Kidnapper Who Fled From Westchester County, Cops Say
Police in Fairfield County nabbed a violent kidnapper who fled from Westchester County after committing the alleged crime.
The incident took place in Greenwich early Thursday, Sept. 21.
According to Lt. Patrick Smyth, of the Greenwich Police, the department was notified by authorities in Westchester that police pursued a suspected wanted in a kidnapping and assault with a gun in Rye and had crossed state lines into the Town of Greenwich.
The suspect, identified as Daniel Patrick Twomey, age 39, of Lodi, New Jersey, was believed to be armed and dangerous, Smyth said.

Cumberland County Man Found Guilty Of Manslaughter: Prosecutor
A 33-year-old man from Cumberland County has been found guilty of manslaughter, authorities said.
Raheem Jacobs, of Bridgeton, was found guilty of the Aug. 11, 2015, homicide of Keon Butler, also of Bridgeton, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
A Cumberland County jury returned the verdict Thursday, May 26, finding Jacobs guilty of second-degree reckless manslaughter following a two-and-a-half week trial.
The homicide occurred while Butler was driving a minivan near the intersection of North Laurel and Myrtle Streets in Bridgeton, the prosecutor said.

Stratford Man Involved In Car Theft Ring Sentenced
A Fairfield County man has been sentenced to four years in prison for his role in an auto theft ring that included using the vehicles in violent crimes.
Christopher "Chucky" Mulkern, age 22, of Stratford, was sentenced on Monday, Jan. 3, to prison time, followed by three years of supervised release, said Leonard C Boyle, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
