Wood-Bat Baseball League Opens 19th Season

The Westchester-Rockland Wood-Bat Baseball League will start its 19th season on Thursday.
The 14-team league, for players 18 and older, includes many current and former college players, as well as numerous former minor-leaguers.
The New City Outlaws are the defending champions. Irvington High School varsity football coach Mike Oliva is a starter for the Outlaws.
The Westchester County teams include the Harrison Patriots, Hastings Lookouts, New Rochelle Tigers and New Rochelle Dirtbags, Peekskill Tides and Somers Cyclones.
