Valentine To Visit Fundraising Event in Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford native Bobby Valentine will make his first public appearance since being named manager of the Boston Red Sox, at a charitable event Sunday, Jan. 29, at Rippowam Middle School.

Valentine will help raise funds for fans4thecure.org, which increases the awareness of prostate cancer. Valentine will visit from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rippowam, where he was a star high school athlete. Valentine will join broadcaster Ed Randall for a winter baseball conversation.

Doors open at 4:45 p.m. Tickets cost $40 and prizes include Red Sox tickets, autographed items and more. Tickets are available at Bobby V’s Sports Gallery in Stamford or online. Tickets are $50 at the door.
