WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Only four teams remain in the Section 1 Class AA boys' basketball playoffs as the semifinals take place Friday at the Westchester County Center.

Fifth-seeded Mahopac (17-3), which has won 15 straight games, will face No. 9 New Rochelle (12-9) in the first semifinal game at 5 p.m. The Indians knocked off No. 4 Arlington, 62-59, in double overtime to reach the County Center for the third consecutive season.

The Huguenots, meanwhile, booked a trip to the County Center with a 64-51 win at No. 1 Spring Valley.

Second-seeded North Rockland (18-2) will face No. 3 Mount Vernon (18-1) in the other semifinal game scheduled for 6:45 p.m. The Red Raiders defeated No. 7 Scarsdale, 65-48, in one quarterfinal game, while Mount Vernon knocked off No. 6 Fox Lane, 66-40, in the other quarterfinal.

The winners of the two semifinal games will play for the section championship at noon on March 3.
