In front of a packed house in Putnam County, the Pelicans made it look easy, skating to a 6-1 win over the Indians, marking their fourth consecutive championship.

Pelham got off to a quick start, with star forward Ben Hurd notching an early power play goal in the opening minutes following an assist from junior Stefan Miklakos, who was a force the entire game. The Pelicans would wrap up the period with a 3-0 lead, following late goals from Thomas Mazarro and Calvin Peters.

John Jay attempted to fight back, scoring in the second, but the Pelican offense proved to be too much, scoring twice in the second and adding an insurance goal in the third. Pelham continues their quest for their first NYSPHSAA championship at 4 p.m. on Saturday, when they square off against Section 2 champion Queensbury at the Ice Hutch in Mount Vernon.
