NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – New Rochelle AAU basketball Team 914 won the sixth-grade division Kingz of the Court championship in Fairfield, Conn., on Sunday. Jared Maharaj scored 25 points, 20 in the second half, to lead the team to a 57-46 win.
Team 914 actually had just four players before the game started so it called up third- grader Wells Faulstich to play. The youngster played for 14 minutes and scored a basket.
Team 914 has so far won each of the three tournaments it has entered this year.
