NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The New Rochelle Panthers travel soccer team recently won the Westchester Youth Soccer League’s G12 Division 1 championship.
The team also finished the season 10-0.
"In regards to the season it was great to see the girls go undefeated, which is a very difficult task in a high-level Division 1 program,” said Panther coach Francesco Notaristefano.
“This is a result of their hard work and dedication they put in since August," he said.
The team is comprised of 17 girls in the sixth and seventh grade from various middle schools who come together to play a high level of travel soccer.
The Panthers allowed the fewest goals of any team in their division and league.
The players’ successes were a result of training that began last summer and continued through the fall and winter until the spring.
