NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Five New Rochelle track and field athletes recently qualified for the March 5 State Championships at Cornell University.
Olivia Morgan goes to states after placing first in the long-jump at 17 feet, 7 inches. She also qualified in the girls triple jump.
Keelan Thomas earned a spot after winning the boys 55-meter dash with a time of 6.53.
Monae Cooper will represent New Rochelle in the shot put event and in the girls weight throw; teammate Jessica Jeffrey will join Monae to compete in the weight throw.
Victoria Jones-Alleyne rounds out the group of NRHS competitors; she will contend in the girls 55 hurdles event.
