NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle High School's varsity cheerleaders won the Garden State Championships.

The team was invited to compete in the event after placing second last month out of 24 teams at the regional championships.

See this accomplished group on Cheerleading Show Night on Monday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. in the New Rochelle High School Gym. 

Later this month, the group will share its talents during the 67th Annual Westchester County Cheerleading Invitational to be held Jan. 27-28 at the Westchester County Center. 

In February, follow the squad on ESPN and ESPN2 as members travel to The National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) event to be held at Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 6-7.

New Rochelle High School is at 265 Clove Road. The Westchester County Center is at 198 Central Ave., White Plains.
