NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — After winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular-season title, the Iona College women's water polo team is aiming to win the championship.
The top-seeded Lady Gaels, who are ranked No. 20 in the country, open against fourth-seeded Villanova in a semifinal at 1 p.m. at Marist. The other semifinal will have third-seeded Wagner playing Marist, the host and second seed.
The semifinal winners will play for the title Sunday 2 p.m. The winner earns a berth in the NCAA Division I Women's Water Polo Championships.
