NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Iona Prep football team lost its playoff rematch with Chaminade, 41-16, Saturday in New Rochelle.

The Flyers handed the Gaels their only two losses of the season and advanced to the CHSFL Class AAA championship game at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 2. Chaminade defeated Iona Prep in New Rochelle, 34-31, in week three.

Iona Prep trailed, 20-10, at halftime, but Chaminade pulled away in the second half. The Flyers held the Gaels to just six points after halftime to help seal the win.
