Teacher Night, PTA Meeting Set At Albert Leonard Middle School

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Principal John Barnes at Albert Leonard Middle School has outlined some upcoming events at the school in New Rochelle beginning with Meet the Teacher night set for Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. There will be a program in the auditorium then parents will have the opportunity to meet their child's teachers in an abbreviated schedule for the eight period school day.

In support of the school's anti-bully mission, Monday, Oct. 5 is "Blue Shirt Day," when wearing blue will be a symbol of solidarity. There will be an assembly for all students in Grade Six.The school has worked with an organization, STOMP OUT Bullying, to raise awareness and eradicate bullying of all kinds.

A PTA meeting is set for Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., in the school library. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. Parents are encouraged to join the PTA. This year's co-presidents are Fran Nordquist and Nancy Podhradsky.
