Prize-Winning Spanish Author Gives Lesson At College Of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Spanish writer José Ovejero visited The College of New Rochelle on Nov. 5, for a series of events sponsored by the Westchester Consortium for International Studies (WCIS), a partnership of the International Studies programs at CNR and Manhattanville College.

Winner of the 2013 Alfaguara Novel Prize, one of the most prestigious Spanish-language literary awards, Ovejero presented a creative writing workshop and evening lecture at the College on “Spanish Fictions,” as well as a performance at Manhattanville on Friday, Nov. 6.
