Associate professor of criminal justice and security, Kimberly Collica-Cox , received the Volunteer of the Year Award from Metropolitan Correctional Center for the Parenting, Prison and Pups Program. Learn more about the program here.

Assistant professor of communication studies, Adam Klein, recently published a new book discussing internet hate culture. Entitled "Fanaticism, Racism and Rage Online," the book examines the rise of hate websites, faux-social networks and racist political blogs. The book can be purchased here.

Aaron Steiner , an assistant professor of biology, has been awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health for his proposed study to develop new hearing loss therapies.
