New Rochelle's Isaac E. Young Middle School Celebrates Graduation

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Eighth-graders recently celebrated their pending transition to high school at ceremonies at New Rochelle’s Isaac E. Young Middle School, according to the city’s school district.

Speaking to the graduates were Richard Liu, valedictorian; Anthony Bongo, principal; Tawanda Robinson, assistant principal; Daniel Gonzalez, administrative dean; Rachel Relkin, vice president of the Board of Education; Brian Osborne, superintendent of schools; and Reggie Richardson, principal of New Rochelle High School.

Associate Superintendent Diane Massimo and school board members Chrisanne Petrone and David Lacher also congratulated the students.

Lacher and Reggie Fuchs, who is retiring from the school staff after 52 years, both received the IEYMS Emerald Knight Award.
