New Rochelle Students Will See Changes Wednesday

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – New Rochelle students returnig to school Wednesday will see some new faces when they end their summer vacations.

Among the changes are new principals, assistant principals and a high school athletic director.

Sonia Nunez, former assistant principal at Columbus Elementary School, takes over as principal for Yigal Joseph, who retired.

Michael Galland, former math and technology chair at Isaac Young Middle School, takes over as assistant principal at Columbus Elementary for Nunez.

Anthony DiCarlo takes over as principal of Trinity Elementary School for Rolando Briceno, who left in June.

Inas Morsi-Hogans continues as assistant principal at Trinity Elementary School.

At the high school, students await their new athletic director, who replaced the retiring John Magnotta.

The school district did not do any major renovation projects this summer.
