The first session will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the New Rochelle High School library, 265 Clove Road. The second will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in the same place.

New Rochelle school board President Chrisanne Petrone said the discussions will be used to help the board develop the budget for the next school year.

“The two School Budget Community Input Forums will focus on community input regarding the development of the school district’s 2013-2014 annual budget and the financing of the instructional program we offer to children,” Petrone said in a letter.

“We are actively seeking your participation in our budget process and we want to help you become as informed as possible,” she said. “As always, we are committed to maintaining the excellence of our school system. At the same time, we remain ever mindful of the significant burden that quality education places upon our local taxpayers.”

Residents will be able to watch the forums and budget review sessions live on Cablevision Channel 77 or 99-917 for digital subscribers, Verizon Channel 30, and on the district’s website. A link will be posted closer to the first meeting.

The district also will hold sessions to review the budget at 7 p.m. March 7, 12 and 14 in the New Rochelle High School library.

The community is invited to speak. The schedule will be posted on the district’s website.
