New Rochelle Schools Honors Retiring Board Member Valerie Orellana

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The City School District of New Rochelle recently honored several educators for their contributions to the community.

Superintendent Brian Osborne lauded Valerie Orellana, who is retiring from the school board after five years of service, according to a press release.

Three other Board of Education members were honored for their involvement with the New York State School Boards Association – New Rochelle school board president Lianne Merchant, and board members Pamela Davis Salvador Fernandez.

Members of the Westchester-Putnam School Boards Association also presented each Board of Education member with certificates acknowledging their service.
