New Rochelle Schools Honors 65 Cheerleaders

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The New Rochelle School District recognized 65 cheerleaders for their accomplishments this past season including a sixth place finish in the national championships at the varsity level.

New Rochelle High School Athletic Director John Magnotta is one individual who is proud of these accomplishments.

“They did wonderful,” Magnotta said.

Cheerleaders from all levels of athletic competition received certificates for their successful efforts this season, the district said. These included the modified, junior varsity and varsity squads.

The teams faced different levels of competition throughout the season, which allowed them to develop their skills as a cheerleader, the district said.
