New Rochelle Schools On Half Day In Advance Of Snow

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – With a Nor’easter rapidly approaching the area, threatening to dump more than two feet of snow in the area, the New Rochelle School District has announced that students will be dismissed early before the brunt of the snowstorm hits.

District officials announced that “all City School District of New Rochelle” schools will be following a half day dismissal procedure due to the impending storm.” This will vary from school to school.

According to the National Weather Service, which has issued blizzard and winter weather warnings, on Monday, there will be light snow in New Rochelle through the beginning of the afternoon, before “blizzard like conditions” hit the area through Tuesday.
