New Rochelle Schools Chief Osborne Cites Need For Extracurriculars

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Extracurricular activities are a vital part of education, New Rochelle Schools Superintendent Brian Osborne wrote in a recent article on Huffington Post.

Osborne cited the school district's philosophy by quoting from its Strategic Roadmap: "We believe in educating the whole child by nurturing students' physical, emotional, and intellectual growth," according to Huffington Post.

The superintendent also pointed to a community service project at local hospitals, among other efforts, according to Huffington Post.
