NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A renovated library at New Rochelle’s Davis Elementary School provides students and teachers with new furniture, stadium seating and repainted shelves.
Parents, school leadership and district administration raised $20,000 in a silent auction during the school’s Parent Teacher Association Gala last spring and at events throughout the year to upgrade the library this summer.
PTA members, Davis teachers and district staff visited the library during the facility’s unveiling ceremony Tuesday.
Davis parents and professional architects Jason and Jennifer Taylor worked with the school district’s building and grounds staff to complete the project.
