At Columbus School, students celebrated with special visits from the Food Bank for Westchester's President and CEO Ellen Lynch; CSDNR Superintendent Brian Osborne; New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson; and "Is Your Hair Made of Donuts?" author Joy Feldman.
Principal Sonia Nunez led the learning events, and students took a "Healthy Eating Oath" and sang with fresh food rapper Mr. Deep Positivity. On hand to share more positive messages and enthusiasm for healthy diets were the Westchester County Executive's Chief of Staff George Oros; CSDNR Medical Director and School Physician Dr. Adrienne Weiss; physical education and grant program manager Dr. Charles Coletti; and CSDNR Director of Athletics Steve Young.
