New Rochelle School Board Seeks Community Input On Budget

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle School Board is holding a school budget community forum in the high school library on Thursday, Jan. 14.

The Board of Education wants to receive guidance for the 2016-17 annual budget and financing of student programs. 

"As always, we are committed to the dual goals of excellence and equity for every student in our schools. At the same time, we remain ever mindful of the significant burden that quality education places upon our local taxpayers," said school board president, Lianne Merchant in a letter to the community. 

The next forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11. In addition, upcoming budget review sessions will be held on: Thursday, March 10, Tuesday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 22.

All meetings are televised live on Cablevision, Channel 77; Verizon, Chanel 30; and on the district website

Meetings will be held in the New Rochelle High School Library at 265 Clove Road, New Rochelle.
