New Rochelle High Schoolers Take On Irvington In Quiz Show Quarterfinals

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – New Rochelle High School moves on to the regional quarterfinals of MSG Varsity’s quiz show “The Challenge” when it takes on Irvington High School on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m.

The New Rochelle team is represented by Josh Moise-Silverman, Michael Buchbinder (captain), Adam Rosenstein, Sarah Gilwit and (alternate) David Weissman. The team’s academic advisors are Jeff Wuebber and Naomi Finkelstein.

Seven other schools from Westchester and the Hudson Valley will join the Huguenots in the regional quarterfinal play. 

There were 192 high schools from the tri-state area that initially began “The Challenge.”  One team in each region brings home $2,500 for its school and is crowned regional champion. Winning regional teams compete in the final championship where they have the ability to win $10,000, with each participating student receiving $500.
