Legislators Speak At Community Forum In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Board of Education of the City School District of New Rochelle and the New Rochelle PTA Council will co-sponsor a Community Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

State Sen. George Latimer is one of four legislators who will be on hand for the forum.

From 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Linda E. Kelly Theater at New Rochelle High School, State Sens. George Latimer and Andrea Stewart-Cousins as well as Assembly Members Amy Paulin and Steven Otis will address important issues affecting the district, including educational funding, and explain their own efforts to secure additional funding for the district.

Suyen Taylor, co-president of PTA Council, will serve as moderator. New Rochelle community members in attendance will have the opportunity to submit questions on index cards made available at the forum, which will be handled by the moderator.
