Iona College Closed Friday Ahead Of Snow Storm

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - With a blizzard warning in effect for Westchester, Iona College has cancelled all classes and the administrative offices will be closed Friday.

As much as three to seven inches of snow is possible during the day, becoming heavier at night with a low around 23 degrees. Another six to 10 inches of snow could accumulate, according to the National Weather Service.

The blizzard warning is in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday. Strong winds and poor visibility is likely, and the National Weather Service advises drivers to stay off the roads.

Saturday, snow is likely before 9 a.m. The rest of the day will be mostly sunny with a high near 31 and low around 13 degrees.

Sunday will be sunny with a high near 36 and a slight chance of snow showers at night. The low is 24.

Monday, snow showers are likely before 11 a.m., followed by a mix of rain and snow between 11 a.m. and noon. Rain is possible after noon and into the night. The high is 43 and the low is around 36, according to the National Weather Service.
