In the piece, Osborne discusses the recently passed $2 billion Smart Schools Bond Act, which will allocate funds to schools to help purchase items like whiteboards, computers, high-tech security and increase Internet bandwidth.

In addition to the importance of technology in education, Osborne also addressed the problems and hurdles that come with implementing new technologies in the curriculum.
