Free Homework Help Offered At New Rochelle Public Library

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — The New Rochelle Public Library will continue to host the Steps to Success Program, in conjunction with the Youth Bureau of the City of New Rochelle, Monroe College and Westchester Library System.

The program provides volunteer homework and tutorial services for students ranging from kindergarteners to eighth-graders.

College and high school students, plus other volunteers, help students organize homework needs, strengthen reading skills and find resources.

Volunteers are available four days a week -- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:00 to 7:50 p.m. and Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:50 p.m. -- until the end of the school year in June.

The services are in the library's Children’s Room on the first floor (kindergarteners through fifth-grade) and the second floor, next to the YA Section (sixth-graders through eighth-graders).

Additional information can be found by calling the library's reference desk at 914-813-3716 or 914-813-3737.

The library is at 1 Library Plaza in New Rochelle, and more information can be found online at www.nrpl.org
