Davis Elementary School Accepts Author's Donation Of 1,000 Books

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- During a recent visit to Davis Elementary School, Nancy Paulsen, president and publisher of Nancy Paulsen Books, a division of Random House Young Readers Group, made a donation of 1,000 new books to The Davis Library Media Center in New Rochelle.

The gift was made in memory of her daughter Molly Friend, a former Davis student, Hofstra University graduate, and teacher.

In addition to Davis students, on hand to share in the celebration were Mayor Noam Bramson, Board of Education Vice President Rachel Relkin, Davis Principal Michael Galland and Assistant Principal Anthony Bambrola, Librarian Mindy Hochberg, Teacher Carol Kelly, and many PTA parents and friends.
