Beginning in the fall 2015, The College of New Rochelle will offer its master’s in public administration program on-site at Burke Catholic High School.

An information session about the program will be held on Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at John S. Burke Catholic High School, 80 Fletcher St., Goshen.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with a fellow Catholic institution through this collaboration that will deliver higher education opportunities to the people of Orange County,” said Judith Huntington, president of The College of New Rochelle. “We hope this will be the start of a strong connection between our schools and hope to be able to expand the program offerings to include additional graduate and undergraduate degrees in the future.”

The program provides the theoretical background, practical experience and training necessary for a professional career in public service.

Its 36-credit multi-disciplinary curriculum covers topics of management and leadership, organizational theory, public policy formulation, communications theory, human resource management, budgeting and finance and program evaluation.

“We are thankful for this opportunity to expand the reach of our school to serve our broader community in partnership with The College of New Rochelle to help aspiring students attain an advanced degree. This co-sponsored program represents the first of its kind in Orange County,” noted John Dolan, principal of Burke Catholic High School.
