College Of New Rochelle Appoints New Senior VP For Strategic Initiatives

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The College of New Rochelle has appointed Colette Geary as the new senior vice president for Strategic Initiatives.

The newly established position will support the implementation of a long-term strategic planning initiatives across the college’s four schools and six campuses.

Geary has been vice president for Student Services at the college since 2010. She was responsible for overseeing student development, intercollegiate athletics, The Wellness Center, campus ministry, health services, career development, counseling services and undergraduate admissions for the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Nursing.

“Dr. Geary is a dynamic, organized and seasoned visionary, proficient in developing and deploying systematic processes to address complex challenges. She has built strong relationships across the entire College Community," Judith Huntington, president of the college said in a statement. "Her commitment to the mission and identity of the College will ensure fidelity to our values and heritage while we embrace this opportunity for institutional change and renewal."

Before coming to The College of New Rochelle, Geary was dean of students at Manhattan College in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. During fourteen years at Manhattan, she also served as director of Counseling and Health Services, as staff psychologist, and taught in the School of Education graduate program.
