Over the weekend, the sheriff's office received a report at around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday night when a caller stated that he had shot a loved one and threatened to turn the gun on himself.

Deputies from the sheriff's office were called to the home on North Randolph Road where the caller claimed they were, but in fact, the incident was just a case of another swatting call, which was debunked.

Officials said that the deputies responded to the home as a precaution, though upon arrival, they were able to confirm with the residents that there was no incident.

The sheriff's office has not identified a possible suspect who made the swatting call.
